The Verdict
Spielberg's The BFG is a faithful, whimsical adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic with essentially no identity messaging. Sophie is a plucky young heroine in a story that predates any modern agenda, and nothing here is preachy or politically charged. This is a clean family fantasy.
