The Verdict
Skins is an original teen drama whose only notable identity element is its genuinely prominent and central LGBTQ+ characters and relationships, handled as part of the ensemble rather than as messaging. It contains no swaps, no preachiness, and no anti-male/anti-West framing. The diverse cast fits its contemporary Bristol setting naturally.
