The Verdict
Scary Movie is a raunchy, equal-opportunity gross-out parody with essentially no identity messaging or agenda. Its only relevant element is a gay supporting character used entirely for shock comedy — crude, not preachy. There's nothing here to flag for woke content.
What the AI Flagged
Category explanations and examples behind the assessment. Internal category scores and the exact calculation are private; external sources appear below when available.
Identity Swaps
An original parody with original characters; no established characters are swapped.
Girlboss & Male Demotion
Cindy is the resourceful final-girl parody, standard slasher convention, with no anti-male messaging.
LGBTQ+ / Trans / Non-Binary Content
The film includes a recurring gay character (Ray) played for raunchy comedy, and crude gay-panic jokes — present but used as gross-out humor rather than messaging.
- Ray's storyline involving his concealed sexuality played for shock laughs
- Locker-room gay-panic gags
DEI Casting
A racially mixed teen cast in a contemporary setting, entirely plausible and not a lore violation.
- Shorty and Brenda among the friend group
Preachiness
Pure gross-out spoof with no lectures or messaging.
Anti-Masculinity / Anti-West
No anti-masculinity or anti-West framing; equal-opportunity crude mockery of everyone.
Source Betrayal
A parody of the slasher genre, not an adaptation; nothing to betray.
