The Verdict
MobLand is a straightforward, violent crime saga in the Guy Ritchie mode, built around mob warfare, loyalty and power rather than identity messaging. Maeve Harrigan is a strong matriarch, but the show is a male-heavy gangster drama with no race-swaps, LGBTQ+ themes, or preaching. Essentially clean across the woke axes.
What the AI Flagged

Identity Swaps
Original characters in a new crime drama; no established characters to swap.
Girlboss & Male Demotion
Maeve Harrigan is a formidable matriarch wielding real power, but she's a complex written character rather than a flawless girlboss diminishing the men around her, who are equally central.
- Maeve Harrigan as the ruthless power behind the Harrigan empire
- Male leads Harry Da Souza and Conrad Harrigan remain central, capable figures
LGBTQ+ / Trans / Non-Binary Content
Predominantly heterosexual crime saga with no prominent LGBTQ+ storyline.
DEI Casting
Casting largely fits the London/Irish mob milieu without obvious quota-driven choices.
Preachiness
A gritty mob thriller focused on violence, loyalty and power, not sermonizing.
Anti-Masculinity / Anti-West
Features brutal, traditionally masculine fixers and gangsters without framing masculinity itself as the villain.
- Harry Da Souza as a hardened mob fixer
