The Verdict
A wholesome teen musical-drama whose main progressive element is genuinely prominent LGBTQ+ representation, including a central same-sex couple. Beyond that, its diverse casting fits a contemporary high school and it avoids preachy lecturing or anti-male messaging. The identity content is real and recurring but delivered through earnest character storytelling rather than activism.
