The Verdict
Elemental is a sincere, original Pixar romance built around an immigration/assimilation allegory. The themes of prejudice and cultural identity are present but mostly serve the love story rather than sermonize, and there's only a minor non-binary side character. Overall a clean family film with light thematic messaging.
