The Verdict
A horror-flavored MCU adventure that's largely clean on identity messaging. The most notable element is America Chavez, an openly lesbian young hero who briefly mentions her two mothers — present but not preachy or central. (spoiler) Wanda's villain turn and America's competence are story-driven, not anti-male messaging.
What the AI Flagged
Category explanations and examples behind the assessment. Internal category scores and the exact calculation are private; external sources appear below when available.
Identity Swaps
No established characters were race- or gender-swapped; new characters are original.
Girlboss & Male Demotion
America Chavez is a competent young hero and Wanda is a powerful antagonist, but men aren't mocked or framed as the problem.
- America Chavez as capable newcomer
- Wanda as overwhelmingly powerful villain
LGBTQ+ / Trans / Non-Binary Content
America Chavez is canonically a lesbian and references having two mothers, but it's a brief, low-key supporting detail.
- America mentions her two mothers
- Pin/flag detail on America's jacket
DEI Casting
Diverse cast fits the multiverse/modern superhero setting without overriding lore.
- America Chavez of Latina descent
- Diverse Illuminati lineup
Preachiness
Story stays focused on horror-tinged multiverse action without sermonizing.
Anti-Masculinity / Anti-West
No framing of masculinity or the West as villainous.
Source Betrayal
Adapts comic concepts loosely as typical MCU liberties, not identity-driven rewrites.
- Wanda's heel turn differs from comics arc
